Cardiff Directory

The relatively new city of Cardiff offers visitors a plethora of cultural and entertainment treats that rivals the world’s best. Wander around Cardiff Castle and the surrounding picturesque gardens. Despite the short history of the city, Cardiff Castle was built over 2000 years ago. Moving on from the castle, take a visit to the National Museum Cardiff, which is home to one of the largest collections of Impressionist art outside of Paris. You’ll find works by such artists as Monet, Renoir and Cezanne on display and the best part is entry is free.

Cardiff is home to many contemporary architectural delights. The Cardiff Bay Visitors Center, commonly known as “The Tube” due to its tubular design, offers visitors the opportunity to view displays on the history and development of Cardiff Bay. The city’s hands-on science museum, Techniquest is popular and includes over 160 hands-on exhibits particularly suited to children. The Millennium Stadium offers guided tours when not hosting sporting events and music concerts.
